Access to Closet





These procedures apply to all unit Owners and their tenants and contractors.


  • The electrical and telecommunications closets for each unit are located in the hallways of each residential floor. Access to these closets must be arranged in advance for flipping breakers, connecting or disconnecting phone service, or resolving internet issues. Please call CMA at 404.835.9100 to schedule access to the closets. We request 72 hours advance notice.


  • If a resident needs access to his/her unit's electrical breakers after 5 PM and before 9 AM Monday-Friday or on any weekend or holiday, the resident should call the on-call manager with CMA at 404.835.9100 and follow the prompts to be connected to the emergency answering service. The on-call manager will attempt to reach a Board Member to gain access to the electrical closet for the resident.


  • If a Board Member is not available to flip the electrical breaker for your unit after normal business hours, the resident must call the CMA Property Manager during business hours and coordinate an appointment to meet and flip the breaker.


  • If flipping a breaker doesnt resolve the electrical issue within a residential unit, the unit owner must call an electrician as individual unit owners are responsible for interior electrical issues. For example, if hallway lights are on and a unit is having electrical problems, the unit owner needs to call their own licensed electrician. 


  • Residents should never attempt to force entry into these closets or call a locksmith. If an owner or your tenant fails to abide by these rules, you may be charged a fine and/or any costs incurred to repair any damage.
